Cutting the Family Travel Budget With Kids Eat Free Restaurant Specials

Published by rendter at 4:42 pm under Uncategorized Edit This

Food budgets are probably one of the most difficult to cut even while traveling.  We all still want to eat!   There are several helpful tips we have found along the way, but one of our favorites is to locate restaurants with Kids Eat Free specials.   Before leaving on a trip, we search online for Kids Eat Free specials at restaurants in the areas we will be traveling through.   Most specials are only available on certain nights and with certain requirements, so always be sure to check for details.  We find a lot of great information by visiting websites such as kidseatfreeplaces.com.   I copy the information on locations that might be of interest for us and paste it into a new Word document.  Then I can easily print off a listing of possible restaurants, which I put in the glove compartment. There are several chains that regularly offer their Kids Eat Free special, such as Lonestar Steakhouse (Tuesday nights), Fazoli’s (99 cent kid’s meals on Tuesday nights), and Dennys (most locations have special on Tuesday and Saturday nights).  Most Perkins and Dickey’s BBQ restaurants also have a special on a certain night.

If you are staying at a hotel, ask the front desk or concierge for information on restaurants with kid’s meal specials.  Often times they keep a listing, or might even have a coupon for a restaurant that doesn’t have a set Kids Eat Free special.  It’s always worth asking!
